After graduating from Brown University in 1976, Nina worked in the banking industry. As Vice President for Consumer Banking, she could foresee the crises that rocked banking in the 1980's. Realizing that banks and other businesses could no longer afford a full-time marketing staff, in 1988 she established the consulting firm that has become Hickory Hill LLC.
Steve started using PC's in 1983. He owned the first model IBM PC with DOS 1.0, 64K of memory, and a single-sided floppy. A graduate of Brown University (A.B. Math-Physics 1976 Magna Cum, Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi), he went on to Yale Law School (J.D. 1980). After 3 years practice with the prominent firm of Updike, Kelly and Spellacy, P.C., in Hartford, Connecticut, and with the advent of the PC Revolution, he became a computer professional.
As Vice-President, Director of Development, AMS Rating Division, Agency Management Services, Inc., he helped managed the growth and development of the nation's largest insurance rating software producer for independent property and casualty agents. AMS Rating Services' gross revenue approached $10 Million when he left in 1993 to join Hickory Hill.
